What did the E-trade baby mean when he called his golfing buddy a shankapotomus in that commercial?

Your kidding right? Do you know what golf IS? what do you mean, what does he mean? That had to be the funniest commerical I have seen in years, That e-trade kid is a riot. By the way, to answer the question (this should be good), a “shank” is a crappy strike on the ball causing either a slice or a hook and generally defines a weak or poor player, hense the verbal jab given to Greg.

I’m not a golf fan, so, no I didn’t get the joke. Thanks for clearing it up. And yeah, I’m a fan of the E-trade baby, too.

Wow! “(Insert fist shaking here)”, what an ass you are. I wanted to know the answer, too. Duh. I’ve heard of golf, but, I have no f’ing clue what a shank is, let alone, what a shankapotomus is. While you are very well versed in GOLF, you obviously have no idea what punctuation is. You might want to begin a sentence with a capital letter, or not end a sentence with a comma. Here is an expression for you. “Ignoramous!”

There is also another definition of the term “Shankapotomus” as defined on “Wikianswers” A Shankapotomus is someone who loses a bet on a sporting event, but adamantly (and incorrectly) claims some technical rules violation by the winner and refuses to pay up.
