I’ve made a bunch of images depicting prehistoric animals and their size compared to a modern human for Wikipedia. Although I intended on posting them here, I was never blessed with the opportunity.
Actually, I just completely forgot to. Funny how the human mind works sometimes, eh? Well, I created three more “to scale” images today, and since I had the good sense enough to think of it, I decided to post them. I’ll get around to posting the old ones once I find them, I promise.

Sorry I haven’t been doing any real blogging, school has been keeping me busy, and besides, worthwhile entries take a while to write. Anyway, I hope you enjoy some of these fractals!
Oh, and if you want to put these up on your site, or distribute them or whatever, then I’d be absolutely flattered. Just give me, Abyssal, credit. No stealing my glory!

Ever since I first heard of them, when Ian Malcom mentioned them in the Jurassic Park novel, I have been fascinated by Fractals. A while back I had managed to find a program that allowed me to generate my own nifty looking fractal images. Unfortunately I had lost it a long time ago. Well, about a week ago, I had been browsing through some old back-up data CDs when, much to my delight, I found that program again. The program is called Fractal Explorer, and I would definitely reccommend that you give it a download if you think fractals are cool. Below are about a dozen 768 x 1024 wallpaper sized images that I created using Fractal Explorer. Feedback is welcome.

Instead of actually working on my RPG Maker game, Soulstorm Legacy, I used to enjoy wasting my time making stupid promotional things like forum avatars and signatures, not to mention some horrendous looking wallpaper. The other day I found two old forum avatars that I made but never honestly intended to use, and since they looked decent (or at least didn’t make me want to gag), I figured I post them here. After all, if I just leave them on my hard drive, they’d just have gone to waste, now wouldn’t they?

This one is of the main character, Choler Baigonne (may end being changed to Bygonne). Not too exciting, and I think that I laterally compressed the faceset a little to make it fit in the frame. But, eh, not horrible, I guess. The main reason I posted this was because I liked the frame.

This guy is Ramic Ordellus, another hero from SsL. His faceset is probably one of the best I ever made (well, actually edited from some of ![]()
Roco’s stuff). It’s got a bunch of modifications and color swaps and a new bandana and all kinds of fun stuff like that. And like the Choler one, the main reason I even kept it is because that translucency effect in the frame is kind of nifty.
If you’re not familiar with “Dysfunctional Family Circus,” the idea is that you take scans of Family Circus comics and give them new captions. Most of the humor irony of seeing the excessively pure and boring Family Circus characters swearing like marines and acting like morally bankrupt ghetto, or otherwise saying something completely absurd (like in the “Cthulu Circus”). Just as a heads up, captions that are vulgar, obscene, sexual, or scatological are fairly common, so don’t blame me if you Google for DFC and your sensibilities get offended.
That being said, I decided to give making my own DFC comics the ol’ college try. I only had one picture, but I managed to come up with ten or so captions for it. Some of which were probably a little racy, and I’ve ommitted those from this blog for obvious reasons. I hope that you find at least one of them to be amusing. This was from an entry in my Myspace blog, which I kept sorta faithfully for a long time. It’s being reproduced here for the sake of not letting everything go to waste. Most of my captions are based on internet memes or whatever, so if you don’t get or think they’re stupid, I won’t be offended.
Oh, and if you’re worried about copyrights, this kind of thing is protected as parody work.

If you’ve payed attention to my links page, you’ll have seen that I added a link to the site Fundies Say the Darndest Things there. I was exploring the site and found myself amused by some of the image macros they had there.
I was so inspired that I decided to make some of my own and share them. So the next time you’re arguing with someone online, throw some of these there way. As a courtesy to tag surfers with slow connections I’ve decided to use the “more” tag to hide all but one of the pics. Just click the title of this post to see the whole list of them.

The original hand screaming image was by someone called Vidi from Deviant Art. I just added the text.
