I’ve been reexamining the 100 or so post drafts I’ve accumulated over the years. I once considered writing a piece arguing that the most important intellectual advance mankind has made in the past 5,000 years has been the discovery that there are no malevolent witches looking to cast curses on the innocent.

I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration so there’s no point making a full length post about it. Yet I can’t help but feel relieved to be a free from such a ubiquitous delusion that has inspired so much fear, hatred, and violence, over the millennia.

My Deviantart gallery has been updated. New additions include those fractals I mentioned the other day, my first iPhone wallpaper, and a bunch of “advice dog”-style memes. Ezrian Wiki has also recently received more attention, most of it not especially useful, but worth mentioning all the same.

Vindication! I’ve long supported the idea of “sin taxes” on junk food to aid in our obesity epidemic. Now science has shown that such “sin taxes” do indeed work.

That guy whose blog was taken down because he criticized a quack doctor has it back now. I’ve got my eyes on WordPress, though and another account at Blogger ready and waiting should they pull this kind of shit again.

I’ve recently found out that WordPress has suspended the account of a fellow blogger for daring to criticize naturopathic pseudomedicine. If they don’t rectify their horrendous lack of judgment I’ll have to hunt me up a new host.

I have enjoyed my time as a WordPress blogger and have high hopes that they will correct their lapse in the good sense department, but I will not compromise my principles, and, if they cave into pressure from charlatans, I will leave. Of course, should worse come to worse, I would not be giving up blogging.

I still haven’t uploaded all of those fractals I promised, but a couple are now up at my deviantART gallery. I’ve been trying to get some Ezrian Wiki related work done as well, but it’s slow going. I haven’t been very active at Wikipedia lately, either.

I guess what I’m saying is that I’m just generally not being productive. I want to blog more, but the state of the world, and the US in particular sickens me and any examination of current events is just another unwanted source of stress in my life.

My deviantART gallery is going to be updated tomorrow with 5 or 6 “new” fractal wallpapers that I made a while back and never got around to uploading. Most are pretty bleh, but one of them is among the best work I’ve ever done. I’m proud of that one. I’ve tried to make a few more since the time I made the soon-to-be-uploaded ones but couldn’t get anything I liked.

On a more upbeat note, I’ve decided that I’m going to be adapting my better wallpapers for iPhone. So, if you like iPhones and fractals, keep your eyes peeled.
